YOUR TRIP, MADE SIMPLE
November - February
Build your own budget: outbound and return fares, room rate × nights, meals, local transport or guide, and entry fees. Split only shared costs within a group. Current prices are not confirmed here; ask providers for a direct quote.
Ghoorism planning suggestion: half a day for the site and museum.
For a family trip, check beds, washrooms, travel breaks and meals before leaving. Keep fewer stops for children and older travelers. Confirm wheelchair or step-free access directly rather than assuming it is available.

Respect local communities. Carry out your rubbish, ask before taking portraits and use a local guide where appropriate. Check current weather and access before setting off.
For a day trip, use accommodation in a nearby town as your base. If staying in Naogaon or Joypurhat, arrange the site and return transfers separately. Confirm room facilities and meals directly.
Plan a food stop in a local market or town. Obtain drinking water and snacks before entering the site and carry all waste back out.

Read museum information and site interpretation to understand the history. Stay on permitted visitor routes with any guide and do not move or damage brickwork, terracotta or architectural fragments.
Somapura Mahavihara at Paharpur is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Allow time for its monastery layout and terracotta decoration. Do not collect or buy archaeological objects.
Have your local return vehicle ready before the museum closes. Allow a town-transfer buffer before the next bus or train and check the site’s last entry time beforehand.
Transport, opening times, permissions and conditions change. Confirm locally before travelling. Photography credits and licenses are linked above.
